WorkDash vs Gather vs Discord
Discord offers drop-in voice channels, text, video and screen sharing. Members can see who is in a voice channel before joining. WorkDash adds a walkable world with conversations separated by room.
Gather put people on a map and made audio work by distance. It is aimed at companies: offices, onboarding, conferences. It is a more finished product than WorkDash and will stay that way for a while.
WorkDash is the small version of that idea, with voice that works by room rather than by distance, built for friends and small teams who want a shared place to catch up or work alongside each other. If you need to run a 200-person event, use Gather. If you want a server for a community, use Discord.
